Hello,
My name is Nana. I was named the Lenore G. Tawney Foundation ArtTable Diversity Fellow to join the Museum of the City of New York during the summer of 2018 to work in the Costumes and Textiles Department and the Theater Collection. I created this website as part of the ArtTable fellowship requirement. There was no restriction on the media we could choose to report back whether it be a word document, pdf, video, or website. Therefore, I've decided to create a well-organized website with a free hosting service so that it may live forever in an open source. So, here it is :) This website contains journal entries of my experience, findings, and thoughts I had during my term at the Museum. Some are all about the work itself, while others are deep analyses of collection items at the Museum that caught my eye. All journal entries are related to at least one of the following: costumes, diversity, and the Museum of the City of New York. Please click "Journal" from the top menu to read these posts. I've also written more official stories for the Museum's website. The links to these stories will be added to the "Links" navigation above when they become available. I hope you enjoy reading them, and I hope that this record helps others in one way or another. Cheers, Nana N Yoshida Header image: Part of Mabel E.
